Working remotely requires that everyone over-communicate. Tell everyone who often needs to know about your schedule and availability. Don’t assume that they will remember. Say this when you complete a project or important task. Over communicating doesn’t mean you have to write a five-paragraph essay to explain your every move, but it does mean repeating yourself. Joke about how you might have already mentioned your upcoming vacation six times, then mention it again.
